Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and The Weekly Tease, published by Caresse (“we”, “us”). By using the website or subscribing to the newsletter, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

Adults only

The Weekly Tease is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the site or subscribe, and some events listed here are restricted to people 19 or 21 and over. By using the service you confirm you’re 18 or older and that viewing material about adult nightlife, burlesque, kink and sexuality is legal where you are. Our content is editorial and non-explicit, but it is frank about adult subjects.

What we are, and what we aren’t

We’re an independent guide. We find events, write about them and link to them. Unless a listing clearly says otherwise, we don’t organize, host, run or sell tickets to the events we list, and we aren’t affiliated with the organizers, venues or performers. A listing isn’t an endorsement, a guarantee of quality, or a statement that an event is safe or right for you.

Event information and going out

• Check before you go. We take event details from organizers’ own pages and check them when we publish, but dates, prices, age limits, rules and line-ups change, and events get cancelled or sell out. The organizer’s page is the final word.
• Tickets and refunds are between you and whoever sells them. We can’t issue refunds or resolve disputes about events.
• House rules apply. Many events, especially play parties and lifestyle events, have dress codes, ID checks, membership steps, waivers and consent rules. Follow them.
• You’re responsible for your own choices and safety at events, including what you drink and how you get home. Consent is non-negotiable everywhere.
• Obey the law, including age limits and local laws on alcohol and adult entertainment.

The newsletter

The newsletter is free. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We may change what’s in it, how often it comes out, or stop publishing it.

Sponsored content

Some spots in the newsletter and on the site are paid for by businesses or event organizers. They’re always labeled “Sponsored” or appear in a “From the House” box. Sponsors never receive our subscriber list. See Advertise if you’d like one.

Submitting events

When you submit an event or send us material (text, flyers, photos):

• you confirm the information is accurate, the event is real and legal, and you have the right to share the material;
• you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish, edit, crop, resize and adapt it on the website, in the newsletter and on our social media, to promote the event and The Weekly Tease;
• you agree we can decline, shorten or rewrite any submission, and remove a listing at any time.

We only list legal events for adults. We won’t list anything involving minors, age-play, non-consent, illegal drugs, or commercial sexual services, and we keep descriptions and images non-explicit.

Using the site

Please don’t misuse the service. That means don’t:

• break the law or anyone else’s rights using it;
• try to get into accounts or parts of the site that aren’t yours, or interfere with how it runs;
• send spam or false submissions, or sign other people up without their permission;
• copy the calendar or archive in bulk with automated tools to republish it, except for search engines indexing it and personal use like calendar apps.

We may block access for anyone who does.

Our content and theirs

The writing, design and selection on The Weekly Tease belong to us. You’re welcome to share links, forward the newsletter, and quote short bits with credit. Event flyers, logos and photos belong to their owners. We show them to help promote the events they advertise. If you own one and want it changed or removed, email us and we’ll take care of it quickly.

Copyright complaints

If you think something here infringes your copyright, email hello@theweeklytease.com with: what the work is, where it appears on our site, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized, and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you’re the owner or authorized to act for them. We’ll respond promptly and remove material where appropriate.

Disclaimers

The Weekly Tease is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the information is accurate, complete or current, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We aren’t responsible for third-party websites, events, organizers, venues or ticket sellers, or for anything that happens at an event.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or any event you learn about through it. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Indemnity

If you break these terms, or submit material you didn’t have the right to share, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado, and you and we both agree to those courts’ jurisdiction. Before filing anything, please email us. Most problems can be fixed with a conversation.

Changes and the rest

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and tell subscribers about significant changes in the newsletter. If you keep using the service after a change, the new terms apply. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part isn’t a waiver of it. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
